Basic instructions on how to efficiently use your password book
This password book is sorted in alphabetical order of the names (or company or device names) you will accumulate. It is therefore quick to search for them by scrolling through the pages to the tab of the first appropriate letter. Write down information like the example shown below as Name is the company name or website name (or any other device names), Website is the site's link that usually starts with http:// (or www for shorter link), Login / Username is the name you have chosen for that particular website, Password is your secret login password, or when it is not a website, any codes associated for a device to open, and finally, when required, Security questions with their proper answers or any personal Notes related to that particular website or device.
Safety and important security advice
As you may have heard in recent years, many security issues have been reported on some major websites. This involves stealing important personal information from users who may end up stealing identities and all the major inconveniences that may result. Keep in mind that any information you submit may be used, sooner or later, to try to access your personal accounts if it falls into the wrong hands, and this happens more and more frequently. For example, if you indicate your dog's real name on multiple sites as an answer to a security question, this information might seem innocuous at first, but could actually lead to confirming your identity by someone else then you. This is why, when it comes to security questions, it is recommended that you DO NOT submit answers revealing important and confidential personal information. Your password book is a tool to write down whatever answers you want to submit to a website (and not the true answers when you don't have to) so it can be access back in your password book when needed. The filling example shown above is an example of "funny" answers that can be put even if we don't recommend to use these specific answers. Be creative, don't submit real personal information and ALWAYS use different answers for all websites. My answer to a favorite pet could be the random City name chosen from a dictionnary. If it is written on this book, it can not be forgotten, and if that information is stolen on the website, this could not be use elsewhere than on the concerned site.
Finally, keep your password book in a safe place, such as a locked drawer or a small safe, for everyday use. Even though the cover design is anonymous (when the ad page is removed), it contains your very valuable and personal secret information that you own, and away from any computer hacking software.
For optimal security, it is advisable to have a fireproof safe and keep a spare copy of this book safely in a different location.
